Movie Monday: Week Twenty Six

We have a busy week ahead of us! I decided to work an extra day and am working three days in a row but then I will have both Saturday and Sunday off which will be a nice change. But we will be busy every day this week so I have a feeling this Mama will be a little more tired than I usually am.

This week there are two videos of Rowe from the same night. Her just being cute and doing new things! She is 13.5 months old in them, doing some reading in the first one and cleaning anyone and everything in sight in the second one.

I know lately the blog has been a bit boring....I just haven't had much time of anything else to post about but am hoping to change that this week.

Roweyn's Ramblings Wk.16

It has been an odd week and today I am exhausted! Rowe didn't have her normal nap today because we were gone, instead she had 2 short naps in the car. And now I am really wishing we hadn't gone anywhere because I would have loved a nap too!

I worked Monday, Wednesday, Friday AND Saturday at the salon. Saturday night was Senior Ball for the high school and our salon did a volunteer project called "The Cinderella Project". Four of us did hair, one did make up and a couple ladies did nails for about 12 girls for free because they couldn't afford otherwise. They also were donated dresses to wear. Although we had some scheduling issues, the day went really well and all the girls LOVED their hair.

Roweyn is LOVING to use the word "No" for everything this week. She seems to have gotten more comfortable with the word and is using it quite often. Along with loud noises or shrieking of disagreement. She is getting very good about expressing her emotions and seems to be testing her limits more and more, giving Mama some headaches!

I got our custom necklaces from an Etsy shop called, Soul Peaces on Monday. They are super cute and I am SO happy with them! I ordered them the Wednesday before, and they arrived so fast! They're super unique. Mine is a bigger Lotus Petal and it says "Roweyn" on it and then I got one for Roweyn for when she is a bit older, that is a teeny tiny Lotus Petal and has a "heart" stamped on it. They're made from recycled sterling silver and go with any outfit, so I can wear it daily to keep Rowe close to my heart. :)

Our necklaces!

Sleeping toddler toes!

We enjoyed one nice day last week, most our days were cloudy, gloomy, cold, windy and rainy. I am SO ready for some sun and heat! I mean it is almost June isn't it??

Enjoying the sunshine while it lasted!

My favorite time.

Rowe had a play date on Thursday with her favorite friend Kashmir. I think it had been 2 weeks since they had seen each other and since Roweyn had been around any other kids! She desperately needed some play time and showed some signs that she had been lacking socialization with little people her size!

I came home Friday after work and the first thing she did was find a book to read to me. Apparently her car seat manuel upside down is pretty interesting to her! Roweyn turned 17 Months on Friday as well! I can't believe she is almost 1.5 years old! This means I'm now behind on both her Happy 16 and 17 Month posts. Oops!

Our day today consisted of mostly hanging out and relaxing besides the couple hours that we were gone right in the middle of the day. I couldn't help but snap these!

Oh she's just pimpin in her robe

She's obsessed with drawing!

Found her perfectly content on the couch
with a plastic bag and a shoe.

I had one more photo but for some reason it won't show up so I'll just have to post it next week! Now I'm off to bed!

Movie Monday: Week Twenty Five

Today's movies are from when Roweyn was 13.5 months old. My mom and I pulled out one of those old bouncy  seats, planning to get rid of it, when Roweyn found it and decided to climb into it. She thought it was the funnest toy, sitting, laying, bouncing and even standing in it. She was having so much fun with it that I decided to let her keep it. Here are a few videos over a couple days of her playing in it.

Have a great week!

Roweyn's Ramblings Wk.15

I had another short week of work which meant another 3 days off in a row and no work again on Saturday. It was nice to have the time off but I'm ready to be back! I haven't made much money lately and am trying to make some decisions about what I should do to change that.

It worked out for this week though since we were getting ready for the garage sale and there was so much  preparing to do! It's all over with now though, thank God! I never knew having a garage sale could make me so sore! It was so weird, I woke up in the middle of the night and almost started crying while half asleep, I was in so much pain and felt sore EVERYWHERE, it was the weirdest feeling. My whole body was just throbbing, it was like I had been doing some sort of extreme sport all day. haha I am SO exhausted from the lack of sleep and all the work that goes into it, but the reward for getting so much sold is SO SO SO worth it! I made over $300 selling baby items, baby clothes, a couple brand new cloth diapers, some old books, knick knacks, and some of my old clothes. It was great to sell so much but I surprisingly still have more stuff to get rid of!

We spent 3 full days outside which Roweyn isn't used to but ended up loving. I think she would live out there if she could! It's SO difficult to set up for a garage sale when you have a toddler wandering around, following the cats and dogs, getting into stuff, and wanting to be fed or picked up though. I tried to keep her in her "gated community", her big gate that turns into a hexagon, but she's not used to being stuck in a little area, so it didn't work too well. So we made do with having to watch her  and Tayelor helped out a lot.

This week Roweyn learned how to say "No". She has been shaking her head "No" for a couple weeks now but now she is combining the word with it. And so far she is doing really well putting it into context. If I ask her if she is still hungry and she's not, she will say "No" or if she wants her diaper changed and again it's "No". haha She does say "Yeah" as well and does really well with answering our questions too.

She has been doing really well with her naps, a few of them this week she slept for 2.5 hours and I think her nap today might have been even longer. Night time though she has had a couple difficult nights. All her "eye" teeth are trying to cut through her gums which I am sure are playing a part in it. They have been messing with her for weeks and I'm really hoping they cut through soon! They will be the last teeth she gets before her 2 year old molars.

And now we are off to bed to hopefully get a good nights rest, but of course not before our photos from this week!

This is how Roweyn naps at home
because she refuses to nap in her crib during the day!

Movie Monday: Week Twenty Four

It's only Monday and I feel like it should be later in the week....I don't think that is a good sign as to how this week is gonna go. :/ We have a busy week getting ready for our garage sale this weekend, but I am oh so excited to be getting rid of stuff! I hope it sells!

Anyways, we are finally onto February's movies. If you've been following me for a while, you'll remember that I had stopped for a bit a couple months ago due to computer issues, so we ended up getting behind on videos.

So Roweyn is 13 almost 13.5 months in this video, taking a bath in the big bath tub all by herself and loving it!

Hope you all have a great week. I probably won't be posting much since I will be getting everything organized for the garage sale, unless I start going crazy, then I might lay it all out on here. ;)

Roweyn's Ramblings Wk.14

This was the first week in months that I had 3 days off in a row and didn't have any appointments for Roweyn or myself. It was so weird to have so many days off, and no where to go...I didn't know what to do with myself. haha

Monday was a really long day at work and my Mom had Rowe with her so I had some quiet time after work for a bit.

Tuesday we had company and it was a pretty nice day so we spent most of it outside. We played in Roweyn's new favorite place, her playhouse. We did lots of exploring, she's really into the rocks that we have around our house.

After we were done playing, we came inside and I gave her a Plum Organics Apple Sauce Pouch, right when I told her to be careful with it, she accidentally squeezed it. We started laughing so hard because when she squeezed it, it squirted ALL OVER Cyder's head. It was so funny, we couldn't stop laughing, and poor Roweyn felt so bad she was crying.

We had a rough night of sleep that night, Roweyn cried a lot and had a really hard time sleeping, which meant for a tired baby and mama the next day.

I normally work at the cloth diaper store on Wednesdays, but wasn't needed this week. I made a chiropractors appointment but spent the rest of the day at home with Rowe. She took a 2 hour nap after sleeping terribly and was so much happier after she woke up.

That night I put her to bed before 10 then headed to bed myself, I woke up at 5 and realized I had slept through the night without being woken up. I was shocked, I went to check on Roweyn and she was sound asleep. I headed back to bed still surprised and slept until 6:15 when Rowe woke up, I pulled her into bed with me and we slept for another couple hours.

This was the first time Roweyn had slept through the night in probably a year! I have no idea why she did it and it was the only night it happened. She has had rough nights before and been tired but never slept through the night afterwards. I hope it happens again soon and more often! We were both in such a good mood on Thursday.

We spent another day at home on Thursday, I really wanted to get out of the house but there really was nothing for us to do. If we lived closer to town it wouldn't be too big of a deal to go out but since we don't, theres just no point and it ends up being a waste of gas. So we spent the day cleaning, relaxing and enjoying each others company.

Roweyn and I spent all morning together on Friday as I didn't have to work until the afternoon which is a rare occurrence.

Our community does an annual Garage Sale that they call "Tools, Trash and Treasures", they do one side of the lake one weekend and the other side, the next weekend. Last year we didn't participate with selling because Roweyn was pretty little and we just didn't have the time. This year we're doing it and I am so stoked to get rid of the toys Rowe has grown out of, along with some of my stuff that I no longer want. I've been planning this for a year and am so excited to get it done! My Mom found some amazing things last year for Roweyn, in great shape and for awesome prices. This garage sale is one of the best in the area for finding great things because SO many houses participate all at once and it only happens once a year.

So this weekend was the first half of the garage sale, my mom went out super early Saturday morning and found some small things but nothing to exciting. I went out with her a little later and didn't find anything. I was so bummed. It was a bust. Either I didn't make it out early enough, or that half of the lake just didn't have anything good. Next weekend is our half of the lake, which usually has the better stuff anyway but I won't be going since I will be selling my own. :( If it gets slow though, I'm sure Ill be able to do some browsing.

It rained today, so I doubt anyone was even out today...It sure as heck better be nice weather next weekend! Today we spent the day getting ready for the week, doing laundry and such, pretty much the usual Sunday thing. Rowe seemed to have a little bit of an upset tummy, possibly for the past couple days and am hoping its not a big deal.

Roweyn has started this new thing, when she wants me to go somewhere or do something, she'll grab my hand and drag me over to whatever it is and put my hand on it. It's so funny and cute. She's done similar things like this before like pushing on my legs to get me to go somewhere. But this one is new and she's been doing it for a couple days now and will get upset if you don't go with her. I'm glad that she is communicating like this, since she can't use words for everything yet, it's nice to see she has found another way to show me what she wants!

I hardly took any photos this week, not sure why, since I had plenty of time but here's what I got!

Playing in her new favorite place

An accidental photo I took of myself

Her "Mama, gimme, gimme" look

And the result of getting what she wanted...my breakfast

Hoping that her hair is trying to get some sort of curl

Just my morning entertainment

Hope you all have a great week! Hopefully there won't be anymore blogger issues. I'm working on a few things that i just noticed that happened while blogger was down. I'll be back tomorrow for Movie Monday!

Mother's Day Weekend Pt.2

If you missed Pt.1 of my Mother's Day Weekend, be sure to check it out here!

Roweyn LOVED the Dolphin Show. She was so into it and would not take her eyes off the Dolphins for anything. She clapped and danced to the music and pointed to the Dolphins.

After the show, we got a Funnel cake and some ice cream and then headed back over to some of the little rides for the kiddos. While Tayelor was off riding a ride with our Dad, I took Roweyn over to the mini Merry-Go-Round to ride it for the first time. I was unsure if Roweyn would like it and when I put her on the Panda she was a little fussy. But then it started, and while we were spinning and she was going up and down she was laughing, smiling and bouncing. It was so cute! She LOVED it!!

We walked around for a bit and found a little play area that Roweyn could play in while we waited for Tayelor and my dad before we headed to our friends house for the night.

Love that we're both looking the same way
and we both have the same expression

Rowe passed out on our way to our friends house,
she was worn out!

It was an awesome day with the whole fam and I had so much fun with Roweyn and watching how excited she got about everything, it made me excited too, I felt like a kid again.

Sadly, I only have one photo from Saturday when we were in San Francisco, it was so windy and cold in the morning that there just wasn't much to take photos of.

We started the day off by dropping my Mom and sister off at the Girl Scout event, then my Dad, Roweyn and I headed towards Fishermans Wharf to get some coffee and breakfast and do some walking around. We had breakfast at Starbucks then walked around going in and out of shops, browsing, sight seeing, etc.

We decided to head over to the farmers market after Roweyn had woken up but when we were on our way, we got into a very minor fender bender and by the time we got done dealing with it, we only had a short while longer before having to pick up the girls. So instead we headed over to Union Square to do some more walking and shopping. We stopped at H&M, I found a couple tops, nursed Roweyn and then the girls called us letting us know they were done.

That was about the extent of our day, after picking up the girls we headed home while making one stop in Roseville.

Hope everyone had a great weekend and were able to celebrate Mother's Day whether you are the Mama, husband, daughter or son!
