Movie Monday: Week Ten

So this week I have a super cute video of Roweyn playing with her Uncle Kadin. She doesn't get to see him often, but when she does she has tons of fun! This was taken the last time we saw him when she was just a little over 9 months.

And the other video I have is a darling one of Rowe playing with her baby doll, taken on the same day.

Give Thanks

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We had two Thanksgivings, one at our friends house on Thursday and another one at my Mom's Uncles Ranch on Friday. This was Roweyn's First Thanksgiving! It wasn't like our usual Thanksgiving, this year neither of my brothers were here but Kadin hasn't had a Thanksgiving with us for a while. I can't remember the last time I had a Thanksgiving without Trevor though, so I was bummed that Roweyn didn't have her Uncles here to celebrate with.

We usually spend the day in the kitchen cooking, okay well my parents and Trevor do and I help when needed. Ha! I'm not much of a cook, but with direction, I can help out. :) This year we only spent a little bit of time cooking whatever we took over to our friends house, so for me it wasn't that exciting of a day. But since Roweyn won't remember it anyway, I don't really mind.

With how crazy of a year it's been I'm so thankful for my family, for everything they've done for me. They supported me through my pregnancy, got me through school and stateboard and through the first year of Roweyn's life. I couldn't have done it with out their help, it would have been impossible. And for that, I am eternally thankful. I'm thankful for getting through school and stateboard and having a career that I'm always learning from. I'm thankful for my beautiful, amazing baby girl, for everything about her. And for the new friends I've met from becoming a mommy and all the new opportunities I have.

Here are some photos from the past couple days. :)

Happy 11 Months Roweyn!

My darling girl,

Happy 11 Month Birthday! Only one more month and you will be a year old. No longer considered a baby, but a toddler. To me though, you will always be my baby. I remember thinking a year ago, on Thanksgiving, when we were taking family pictures that next year I would be holding you instead of Cyder and you would already be almost a year old. Wondering if you would be walking around yet and what you would be like. And here you are, a year later, so close to walking and the sweetest little girl I could have ever imagined.

You are talking up a storm, you repeat words I say like you've been saying them forever. It amazes me every time I hear a new word come out of your mouth! You say two word sentences like a pro. You've even said four words in a row after you repeated me, saying "All done, Good job!" I was shocked!

You have started to really listen, although when I say "No" you think its funny, you laugh and smile at me. Now when I say "No" you shake your head at me! I can ask you where your toys are or where Cyder is and you will look and point right at them! You're clapping all the time and when you hear music, you sing and dance. It's so darling! Yesterday you tried to take your first step! You are getting really good about standing on your own, I have a feeling that any day now you will be walking!

You're sleeping better at night. You have been going to bed late though, waking up once in the night, I feed you, you go back to bed, then you wake up around 6 and I pull you into bed with me so that we can snuggle and sleep together for a couple more hours before we have to face the world together. You're taking only one to two naps a day, keeping me busy all the time!

I am so excited for Christmas and your 1st Birthday! I can't wait to watch you open all your presents and eat cake for the first time! It will definitely be bittersweet to me. You're growing up so fast!
I love you, my sweet little bean! And am always here for you.

Love you lots,
Your Mama.

Weight Update

So on Friday Roweyn had her weight check. If you recall, not too long ago I was saying here that she had dropped down on her growing curve only weighing 14lbs 5.5oz. It really wasn't anything to worry about since she had become more active and is basically taking after me as a tiny little thing when I was a wee little baby, but it's procedure for the DR to have her come back a month later to make sure she is still growing. And she is, of course!
Stats:
10.5 Months
15lbs 1.5 oz

She gained 12oz which is great! She's is getting back up to where she needs to be. So all is well again!

Movie Monday: Week Nine

So this week I have two videos of Roweyn mostly just playing with Cyder, trying to play tug a war and playing with Cyder's toys. She's a little over 9 months here.

Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Next week there will be a super cute video!

Movie Monday: Week Eight

This is a cute video of Roweyn at 9 months laughing everytime I pick a flower. It's darling. Oh and please ignore the ending. I tried to edit it but it wouldn't load for some reason. So I'll just have to be embarrassed. Oh well. :|

Have a great week! It's exactly 2 weeks today till my birthday! Of course I have nothing to do, I can't decide if I should work or do something else. Although if I were to not work I would probably just spend the day at home with Roweyn. Hmm. If you have any ideas, I would love to hear them! :)

Pumpkin Patch!

I took Roweyn on her first trip to the Pumpkin Patch this year! It was a lot of fun and she LOVED it! She was so curious about everything and it was a total adventure for the both of us. We went with friends which made it that much more fun.

First thing we did was go over to the petting zoo to play with all of the animals. The girls had a blast!

They loved playing with the goats and trying to eat the yucky hay. They didn't want to stop playing with them, but it was time for the baby goats to take a nap. So we took a break to eat some lunch and watch the little train.

After we ate lunch, we took some cutsie photos and then found some giant pumpkins to play on!
 Where'd my foot go Mama??

 Can we take this one?

By that point the girls started getting tired so we decided it was time to go find them baby pumpkins and get on the road. But not before getting some more photos of course!

There are so many! Ohhh how about this one?
Look Mom! I'm a pumpkin!!

It's crazy to think that next year she will be running around everywhere, climbing on everything by herself!

11/10/09

One year ago today I graduated from Cosmetology School at 8 Months Pregnant! It's crazy to think how fast this year has gone. It was one of the best and most accomplished days I will ever have. Besides of course having Roweyn.

I was the first in my class out of around 17 to graduate. Not only that, I was 8 months pregnant, driving three hours a day, four days a week, being gone a total of 11 hours a day. I was determined to finish, knowing that as a soon to be single Mom, I needed this career more than anyone. I knew that if I didn't finish before the baby was born, I wouldn't want to go back and I might never have a way to make the money I needed for both my daughter and me to survive in the years to come. When I started school, I never knew I would be finishing it the way I did. I didn't know I would be preparing myself for a career that would be so important to my life from the very beginning. I was determined from the start, but when I found out I was pregnant, I became more determined than I could have ever been.

This year went by so incredibly fast. It's hard to believe that it has been a whole year since I got through some of the toughest 13 months of my life. They were also some of the best. I made some amazing friends and I also had some of the best support I could ever ask for while pregnant. My class was my family and I miss them dearly. Its definitely a bummer to me that most of them haven't even met Roweyn, even though they were with me for all but the last month and a half of my pregnancy. Hopefully someday soon, we'll all be able to get together for a little reunion.

I'm so proud of myself for all that I did. 8 months out of those 13 months of school I was pregnant. I never missed a day for the 5 months of morning sickness I had or no matter how tired I was, maybe for other reasons but not because of my pregnancy. But I couldn't have done it without the help of my family. I can never thank them enough for all that they did.

So thank you to my amazing family and my Federico family. You all were and still are the best. And you helped me get through something that could have been really rough, but because of all of you I came out of it better than I could have ever imagined.
Happy 1 Year Graduation to me!

Roweyn's 9.5 Month Check Up

So I know I'm a bit late, since Roweyn's last check up was when she was 9.5 months (even though it's supposed to be at 9 months) but these past couple weeks have been insane. I'm only a few weeks late so I guess it's not that bad.
Roweyn's Stats
Height: 27 inches
Weight: 14 lbs 5 oz
Head: 16.5 inches

So as you can see, she is still a tiny little bean. She actually dropped a little on her growing curve which means shes not gaining as much as she was. Most likely due to being more active now that she is crawling and cruising around furniture. But because of that we have to go back in a month to check her weight, instead of waiting until she is a year old for her One Year Check Up. Her doctor says not to worry, she's obviously doing great, but it's just a precaution.

Movie Monday: Week Seven

It's that time again for Movie Monday! So I have 4 videos today. They are all pretty much the same. They were filmed on Roweyn's 9 Month Birthday while she was watching a Baby Einstein movie. She loves these movies and I was hoping to capture how excited she gets while watching them. She didn't show as much excitement but I did capture how she loves to just stare at the tv.

Hope everyone has a great week! Be sure to check out the blog the next couple days. There will be a few posts up, from check ups to pumpkin patch to Halloween!

3 Months and Counting!

Roweyn is already 3 months! It's so hard to believe. Time goes by so fast when you're trying to enjoy every minute of it. Watching Roweyn grow and change every day is such a rewarding feeling. It makes me love being a mom more and more every day!

In the past few weeks she has really started to notice her hands and feet. She plays with her hands and loves to look at them and see what they can do. She sucks on them any chance she can get. She's figuring out that they can hold toys and she can put them in her mouth. She kicks her legs any chance she can get, especially when she is really excited.

She's been talking for awhile now but just in the last few days she has really started talking to me and trying to have a conversation. It's probably one of the cutest things ever. I was able to catch some of it on video. Check it out.

Super cute right? Her newest favorite thing to do is look in the mirror and talk to herself, thinking she's talking to another baby. She goes crazy, kicking and stomping her legs and talking up a storm. I love it! I can't wait to get together with some other babies to see what she does!! Here's another video of her that I took on my computer while she thought she was having a chat with another baby. Enjoy!
After this video was over she kept talking and talking. I just wanted to keep recording her! I can't wait to see what she does next so I can record that too!

Happy 10 Months Roweyn! (A Little Late)

Dear Roweyn,

Today you are 10 Months old! I can't believe that you are just two months shy of turning a year old! You are so darling. Your personality is shining bright!

You are so happy to play quietly by yourself, but you squeal and laugh when we all play with you, including Cyder. You have no problem letting us know when you want something, especially when it's something you're not allowed to have. Nana says you get that from me. :) I believe it too.

You are pulling yourself up on anything you can and cruising around all the furniture. You are so curious about everything and you want to know how it all works. You love playing with the buckles in your carseat and highchair, always trying to clip them together. You have already mastered climbing up stairs but you haven't quite learned how to get back down them. I have no doubt you will figure it out soon. You love the vacuum. Yesterday you followed me around in your walker as I vacuumed the kitchen. You would get right up next to me so you could see how it works. It was so funny. We will definitely have to keep an eye on you at all times when the vacuum is out, so you don't do what your Uncle Kadin did when he was little.

You are constantly saying new words. You say Mama, Nana, Dog, and so many other words all the time now and now you are saying Cyder! It sounds like Yder but when you said it, your Nana and I knew right away what you had said! One night when you were all done eating in your highchair, you looked at me and said "All Done" in the cutest little voice I ever heard! We even caught it on video.

You love to play Peek a Boo. You take a blanket, hide your face and I say "Where's Roweyn?" and you pull the blanket down and I say "There you are! I found you!" and you laugh and squeal and then hide behind the blanket again. You love to share, always giving us your food to eat and your toys to play with. When one of your stuffed animals falls over off a chair, you get so sad. You pick it up, hug it and give it loves to make sure it's okay. I have no doubt in my mind, you will be such a caring little girl! You already are! You've just rediscovered clapping and you totally understand when to clap. What's even better is you clap like a golfer. Everything about you is so soft, little and sweet! How could I think your clapping could be any different?

You love your family so much and are always so excited to see everyone. When someone picks you up, you get so excited. You give us pats on our chests and heads, sometimes even our faces. You also love animals, always wanting to play with them. You say "Meow meow" when we say cat or when you see one.

You are getting so good at eating solid foods. Your favorites right now are chunks of avocado, cheese and baked potato. You can eat a whole mini avocado in one sitting if I let you! Your Uncle Kadin loved avocado when he was your age, but me, not so much. :)

You are definitely not much of a nap taker. Only two to three naps a day, sometimes even less! Not to mention those naps are only 20 mins! You're getting better about sleeping at night, but you still spend half the night sleeping in bed with me. You just love to snuggle. And I must say I do enjoy the many ways you wake me up in the morning. Whether it be you trying to climb over my face and the pillows to grab onto the headboard to stand up, patting my face, trying to grab my lip, nose or ear piercings or better yet when you stick your finger up my nose!

Thank you for being such a joy in my life! I look forward to each and every day I have with you, to watch you learn and grow. I love you SO much!

Love with all my heart,
Your Mama

Movie Monday: Week Six

So Last week I didn't post any videos as I was on my way home from a trip and didn't have my computer with me all weekend. So here are this weeks videos! Both were taken a few days before she turned 9 months.

First is Roweyn having a blast in her jumper.

Next is Rowe getting into some mischief.
