Easter 2011

We had a nice low key Easter and it was pretty much perfect, besides the rain of course. Saturday I worked so I was unable to take Roweyn anywhere that was having an Easter Event but I was determined on Sunday to go to our community's annual Easter Egg Hunt right down the street from our house.

We started off with Roweyn opening her Easter basket and she loved seeing all her goodies, taking them out and sharing them with everyone else. I opted not to put any candy in her basket because what almost 16mo old needs candy anyways? I put in a few things from the whole family and some stuff I had been collecting but hadn't given to her yet. She got a couple  books, some new outfits, a couple stuffed animals, a toy blowdryer (so she could be like her Mama and do hair), a pair of sandals and some Agoo leggings that we had gotten for free. :) She is well loved, thats for sure.

I watched the weather outside all morning Sunday as it was gloomy and rainy in hopes that there would be a break by the afternoon. Roweyn and I sang "Rain, Rain Go Away So We Can Hunt for Easter Eggs" over and over while we looked outside. At 12 we started to see a break in the clouds and the sun trying to peek out, so happy about this we decided to get our stuff together and by 12:45 we were out the door heading to the park hoping that at 1 it would still be nice!

Trisha and Kashmir met us there so that they could join in on the fun too! As we waited we got to take a photo with the Easter Bunny! I tried to get Roweyn to sit on his lap without me holding her but there was no chance she was going to allow that! So once again I am in the photo with her!

After we saw the Easter Bunny we waited a few minutes longer until we could do the Egg hunt. They divided the age groups and we were in the 1-3 year olds. There was hardly anyone there, so it was perfect. There were tons of eggs and all the kids had enough and basically had their own little section to grab eggs from. Not once was there another kid around us which I found really surprising! The girls did great, they each grabbed a couple eggs and then just stood there holding them or playing with them. I think Roweyn was half asleep because she hadn't napped yet and she kept spacing out! ha

As soon as we finished and were walking away, it started sprinkling, and by the time we got to the car it was almost pouring! It couldn't have been timed more perfect!

We headed back to the house and Trisha and Kashmir came over so the girls could spend the rest of the afternoon playing together and of course so we could have some Mama time as well! They surprised Roweyn with an Easter present which Roweyn loved. They are the sweetest friends!

Hope you all had a great Easter as well!

Happy 15 Months Roweyn!

Dear Roweyn,

You're actually going to be 16 Months tomorrow but you have kept me so busy that I haven't gotten a chance to write this! I will try to think back a month ago, but time has just been flying by and you have been growing and changing so much it's hard to keep up!

Every day you are doing something different, always surprising me with something new! You are talking all the time, adding new words to your vocabulary every day.

You were having a rough time with sleeping, changing your routine almost nightly and making Mommy very tired. You wouldn't let me put you down after you fell asleep and you kept waking up so a few times you cried for short periods of time before finally falling asleep.

You are at such a fun age right now, I am loving every minute of it. You keep me busy all day long, whether it be me chasing you around the house, feeding you, cleaning up after you or playing with you, there's never a dull moment!

Everything is exciting and new to you and it's so fun to watch your reactions!

You are such a good little girl and I thank God every day for bringing you into my life. I love you so much and can't wait to see what you'll do next!

Here are my favorite photos of you from 14mo -15mo.

I love you with all my heart.

Love,
Your Mama
Forever&Always

Movie Monday: Week Twenty One

Back at the end of January we had this crazy week of 60 - 70 degree weather. The videos on here tonight are from the start of that week only a few days before Roweyn turned 13 months. The first one is one of the first times Roweyn was outside walking in our yard. So cute to see her waddling around and trying to walk on the uneven grass! The second is her talking away in her swing outside. And the third is a super cute video of her turning on her music and dancing. All three are so cute that I had to share them all tonight.

Easter post to come sometime this week with some super cute photos!

Roweyn's Ramblings Wk.11

Besides going to Reno, our week didn't consist of much, so here's what I have for this week!

Roweyn is back to having a hard time teething. She is trying to bite my arm whenever I'm holding her on my side. Luckily I know what she's trying to do so I can stop her before it happens but that doesn't make her any less fussy or uncomfortable. I think these teeth might be the longest wait for teeth to cut through, they keep popping up and then going back down.

I think she may be sleeping better at night. She is going to bed and hasn't been waking back up until between 1am and 4am. So hopefully it will just keep getting better!

The other night she saw a photo of her Grandpa (my Dad) and flat out said, not once but twice, "I love my Papa". Sweetest.Thing.Ever.

She is really into birds. Every time she sees one she stares and points at it and will say "Bir".

She loves walking around saying "Bayby, Bebe, Bahby, My Bebe" and she usually says it in sequence. It's like she's sounding out the different ways to say it. I would say that this is probably her favorite word right now.

Roweyn's best friend Kashmir came over today and every time they are together, they are getting better and better with playing with each other. They shared their toys, followed each other around, played with the same toys together and talked to each other. It's crazy to see how much of a little person these girls are turning into!

Okay and now for the fun part, photos!!

Sleeping Baby Feet

The little stinker found gum in my car,
popped it into her mouth,
and started chewing it like she's done it a million times before

Hope you had a great Easter! We had a fun day! Easter post coming later this week.

A Nice Little Trip To...

....Reno on Wednesday for the night and then we came back Thursday afternoon. For those of you who don't know, both my older brothers live there and my brother Trevor owns a pizza shop that opened last year called, Pie-Face Pizza Co.. They make amazing specialty pizzas and have won "Best of" for numerous categories along with the first 4 star review for a pizza shop in Reno by a food reviewer, among other awards. So if you live in the area, please be sure to check them out, located in downtown Reno!

It was a nice little getaway to see family and visit the shop. My sister, her friend and my Mom were able to go to a Reno Aces game, while Roweyn and I went out to eat with Trevor and his gf Sierra. Then we spent part of the day relaxing, went to dinner at the shop and met up with some other family and then Roweyn and I spent the rest of the night in the hotel room while the girls went swimming.

The next day we went to breakfast, then I dropped the girls and my Mom back off at the hotel to do some more swimming while Roweyn and I visited a friend and did some shopping. We picked them up and headed back to the pizza shop for a little lunch before we got back on the road.

It has been around 8 months since we were last in Reno and it was a nice easy going visit  with hardly any rain which was great!

Here are all the photos from the trip!

I don't like having to post numerous posts on the same day so today I will post this and one other and then the Easter post will just have to wait a day or two!

Movie Monday: Week Twenty

Hope ya'll had a great Monday! I had a busier day than I thought so I'm doing last minute late night posts. Today we have another two vidoes of Roweyn at almost 13 months. She was really into carrying around bags and purses and in these videos the bag is almost as big as her! It's so cute to watch her still learning to walk while trying so hard to carry the bag! Check it out below. Hope you have a great week! We are off to Reno on Wednesday for a couple of days, so probably no more posts till we get back!

P.S. I am one follower away from 100 followers, so hard to believe! Thank you all for following! I'm hoping to do a little giveaway somewhere after the 100 follower mark and would love your help with spreading the word about the blog. Thanks! :)

Roweyn's Ramblings Wk.10

This week was a fun one. We got to go to the park not once, but TWICE! Surprisingly with this weird weather we were able to do so. My niece was also in town for a day so we we're able to spend some time with her!

Roweyn is at such a fun age right now. Always surprising us with something new and making us laugh constantly.

When she cries now she puts her hand over her mouth. It's so funny and so dramatic. I have NO idea where she got it from.

Every time she hears music she automatically starts dancing. So cute!

When Roweyn is eating and we ask her if she wants "more" she will do the sign for more. She's been doing this for a couple weeks now but I keep forgetting to post it.

She is down to ONE nap a day now!!! Ahhh so sad. :( She will sleep more if we're in the car though. And at home she ONLY sleeps in her stroller at nap time!! It's the funniest thing. But she will take about 1.5 hour naps now instead of two 20 minute naps. So I just go with it.

We're going on our first full week of her sleeping in her own room. It's going well. She is sleeping about the same as she was in my room. But I love knowing that I'm not the reason she is waking up at night and not having to worry about waking her up if we're in the same room.

She has been eating better this week. Last week I think she was having a hard time with her teeth she has coming in, even though this week they are cutting through.

My niece/Roweyn's only cousin who is six was here yesterday. We haven't seen her since October and Roweyn has changed so much since then, she wasn't really crawling yet and wasn't really able to play with her. But this time Roweyn followed Devyn around EVERYWHERE! And when she wanted Devyn to go somewhere, Roweyn would get behind her and push her. It was so cute. We did a little mini Easter Egg hunt with the two of them and they had a ton of fun.

Here are all the photos for the week. (Warning: PHOTO OVERLOAD!)
