Movie Monday: Week Two

Roweyn at 7.5 months playing one of her favorite toys in August, her drum.

Roweyn on the same day trying to play with a ball that my dog Cyder keeps taking.

Three Quarters of a Year Old!

Today Roweyn is 9 months old!! 3/4 of a year! It's insane, I can't believe how fast it has gone.

She now weighs 14lbs 1oz. Huge I know! Haha She's about 5lbs smaller than all the babies her age, and a couple pounds smaller than most the babies younger than her. She is 26.5 in long. Everyone keeps telling me she looks long but I think its because she's so slender.

She is half army crawling half regular crawling all over the place, pulling herself up on anything that she can, trying to let go and stand by herself. She waves for hi and bye. She can do the sign for All Done. She loves to get into everything and is constantly going after all of Cyder's toys to put in her mouth. She got both her front bottom teeth in at 5.5 and 6 months and she just got both her front top teeth in the past 2 weeks.

She says Mama and Mum, Papa for Grandpa, Num for Yum, Ba for Ball and a ton of babbling. She also tries to mimic a lot of the words I say, she gets the sound, she just can't say the words.

She loves her family and reaches out to whoever she wants to hold her.

She goes in spurts with her eating solids, the past couple days she has been eating a ton. So I'm thinking she might be going through a growth spurt! Yay!

She has gotten better with going to bed earlier, on most nights. She usually will fall asleep anywhere between 7 and 9 depending on our day, then wake up one or two times before she settles in for the night. Then she is usually up lately at least 3 times or more in the early morning. For a week she was waking up constantly, I think because of her teeth though, so I'm hoping things will get better again soon. Her naps consist of two or three 20 minute naps, so not much mommy time for me or a break when my mom is watching her.

She is growing up right before my eyes! It's hard to believe that she is only 3 months away from turning 1! I don't even want to think about it! ha!

Happy 9 Months to my baby girl Roweyn! I have loved every minute of our 9 months together!

P.S. One year ago today I was having my baby shower at my house, getting so excited for the arrival of my baby girl.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Just wanted to give a shout out to my wonderful Dad.

Happy Birthday!

I hope you have a wonderful day. I wish you were home so we could celebrate with you. But at least we have this weekend. You're in our thoughts today.

Thanks for being such a great Dad. Thanks for sacrificing so much for us. Thanks for working 300 miles away from home for almost a year and counting just so we can all have the things we need. We miss you and we hope you will be back home and working here soon, so we can have our Dad, Grandpa, and Husband back.

We Love You So Much!! Can't wait to see you this weekend!

Thankful On A Tuesday

It's hard for me to believe that Roweyn is already 8.5 months old. Where has the time gone? What have we been doing all this time? I guess the saying, "Time flies when you're having fun!" really applies here. Because really, these past 8.5 months have been all about fun! Of course there has been a lot of ups and downs, but we've gotten through all of them. Times when I felt like, "How the hell did that happen? and What the heck am I supposed to do to get through this?" I thought it would be really difficult to get through some situations and yet here we are 8.5 months later and going strong.

Roweyn has made me so strong. Knowing that I have her shows me that I can do anything. I've gotten through 13 months of cosmetology school without any breaks, while also being pregnant 8 months out of that 13 months. I graduated at 8 months pregnant and got my license at 9 months pregnant. While also being gone 11 hours a day, 4 days a week, driving 3 hours a day. The past 3.5 months I have been working part time and taking classes to really get my career going. Spending money I barely have to take these classes, but knowing in the long run this is what will really make my career and hopefully make me stand out more and get me to the goals I hope to make someday.

Having my family's support and Roweyn has made me more determined than I could have ever been. And I just want to say "Thank you" to my Parents, who have helped me in more ways than I could have imagined, to my Brothers for always being there, and to my younger Sister, who has gone from being the baby of the family to the very helpful Auntie. Without you guys, I'm not sure I could have done it.

Also Thank you to all of my friends who have been so supportive from the beginning and are still supporting me.

I Love You All.

Movie Monday: Week One

So I have been meaning to post some videos that I have taken of Roweyn since the beginning of August and I am just now getting the chance. So every Monday I will be posting a video of her for the next few Mondays.

First up is a video of Roweyn at 7 months feeding herself baked potatoes with her hands and a spoon.

P.S. Please ignore my super annoying voice on the video. Thanks! :)
