Oh Hey Guys! | Our Life Lately

Hi there!

We're still alive. It's been a long time since I've been on here. Whoops! But we've just been living life ya know? I have about a million pictures I've wanted to post on here and just noticed I have a bunch of posts that never got published from forever ago. So I apologize in advance for the flood that you may see.

So happy my brother could make it for brunch with us.

I didn't bring a swim suit for Rowe because I figured it'd be too cold but she wanted to swim any way so I stripped her down to her skivvies and she had a great time!

Tahoe was beautiful. It was a great Mother's Day! Can't wait to be back in the area this weekend for Father's Day.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day today with friends and family.

We are headed up to Reno, to spend a few days with family and also to celebrate my birthday a little early.

I'm excited to spend the time with them, to be surrounded by the people I love and to share this with Roweyn. I get so excited about sharing the holidays with her and she's still a little young to really understand it but I can tell she's understanding it more this year and to see how excited she gets about it just melts my heart!

Fall 2012 Family Photos

Mid October we had our family photos in Truckee and Donner Lake here in California,  taken by what I think as some of the best photographers in our area, Lemaire Photography. We had our photos done by them last year and I knew as soon as I saw the results, we'd have our photos done by them yearly for as long as we could. If you missed our photos from last year check them out here, here, here and here. :) We got a lot last year, haha I couldn't help it!

They are based out of Sparks, Nv but travel to surrounding areas which is awesome. I wasn't really sure what direction I wanted to go in for our photos, so we chatted and brainstormed and we came up with doing some urban shots in Old Town Truckee and then headed over to Donner Lake for our Forest and Lake photos with the Teepee that they MADE! Danny captured Roweyn & me perfectly. Roweyn was a little shy of the camera at first, but warmed up to Danny quickly and he was able to get the best shots of her.

I can't wait to decorate my house with all these wonderful photos!

Roweyn's First Day of Preschool

This sweet girl started two half days a week of Preschool at our favorite Co-op Preschool!
That means some days she will go without me and some days I will help out in the class!
I'm super excited for this new adventure for us!

August is coming to an end which means Summer will be over shortly. :(

The only thing I'm excited about is the fact that Roweyn is starting 2 day a week Preschool next week!

It's still crazy hot out but it's starting to get a little cooler.
Can't believe it's already the middle of August!
I'm not ready for Summer to end, although I wouldn't mind if it was a tad bit cooler!
