Movie Monday: Week Thirty One
It's been a little bit since I've done a Movie Monday post so I thought I would do one today! It's a cute video from the beginning of May when Roweyn had just turned 16 months and was really starting to climb on EVERYTHING which you will see a little of in this video. But most of the video is of Roweyn playing Peek a Boo and being all sorts of cute!

Happy 16 Months Rowe Baby!
Roweyn, my girl, how the heck is it possible that you are now 16 months old?? Lately I have been thinking back to this time last year and picturing you again as this little itty bitty baby you once were. Before you could crawl, when you hated tummy time and when you would sit all day and snuggle in my arms. You are SO a different story now!
You are running, jumping, climbing on everything! You never sit still for more than a few minutes. You are testing your limits every time I turn around, constantly getting into something you're not supposed to. But I love every minute of it!
I love you at this age. Your personality is shining through bigger than ever right now. You want to be a part of everything I do whether it be eating, cleaning, doing laundry, brushing my teeth, and so on.
You are now sleeping in your own room at night and it's going great. You refuse to sleep in your crib during the day so you take your nap in your stroller. And yes I said nap, as in ONE, because you are down to one nap a day. It's great though because you are sleeping about an hour and a half now instead of two 20 minute naps.
You're eating great and you are getting really good at feeding yourself with a spoon and fork. Most times you don't let me feed you anymore and sometimes that makes for a very messy meal. We visited your Uncle Trevor in Reno, and went to his pizza shop, Pie-Face Pizza Co. where you got to try their pizza for the first time and you LOVED it!
You now weigh 16.5 pounds and you are 30in tall! You are still a teeny tiny girl but really, I couldn't picture you any other way!
You just had your second Easter and you had so much fun hunting for Easter eggs, with your Auntie Tayelor, Cousin Devyn and Best Briend Kashmir !
I'm such a proud Mommy and you make me so happy each and every day!
I love you so much!!
Love,
Your Mama
(This post is only a month late, again! Gonna get her 17 Month post out before it's a month late too!)
Your hair started growing more and I was finally able to put a clip in it! Although it looked pretty funny because it was so big. You do all sorts of silly things too that make me laugh, like grabbing a tissue to blow your nose!
I love you so much!!
Love,
Your Mama

Roweyn's Ramblings Wk.16
It has been an odd week and today I am exhausted! Rowe didn't have her normal nap today because we were gone, instead she had 2 short naps in the car. And now I am really wishing we hadn't gone anywhere because I would have loved a nap too!
I worked Monday, Wednesday, Friday AND Saturday at the salon. Saturday night was Senior Ball for the high school and our salon did a volunteer project called "The Cinderella Project". Four of us did hair, one did make up and a couple ladies did nails for about 12 girls for free because they couldn't afford otherwise. They also were donated dresses to wear. Although we had some scheduling issues, the day went really well and all the girls LOVED their hair.
Roweyn is LOVING to use the word "No" for everything this week. She seems to have gotten more comfortable with the word and is using it quite often. Along with loud noises or shrieking of disagreement. She is getting very good about expressing her emotions and seems to be testing her limits more and more, giving Mama some headaches!
I got our custom necklaces from an Etsy shop called, Soul Peaces on Monday. They are super cute and I am SO happy with them! I ordered them the Wednesday before, and they arrived so fast! They're super unique. Mine is a bigger Lotus Petal and it says "Roweyn" on it and then I got one for Roweyn for when she is a bit older, that is a teeny tiny Lotus Petal and has a "heart" stamped on it. They're made from recycled sterling silver and go with any outfit, so I can wear it daily to keep Rowe close to my heart. :)

Our necklaces!
Sleeping toddler toes!
We enjoyed one nice day last week, most our days were cloudy, gloomy, cold, windy and rainy. I am SO ready for some sun and heat! I mean it is almost June isn't it??
Enjoying the sunshine while it lasted!
My favorite time.
Rowe had a play date on Thursday with her favorite friend Kashmir. I think it had been 2 weeks since they had seen each other and since Roweyn had been around any other kids! She desperately needed some play time and showed some signs that she had been lacking socialization with little people her size!
I came home Friday after work and the first thing she did was find a book to read to me. Apparently her car seat manuel upside down is pretty interesting to her! Roweyn turned 17 Months on Friday as well! I can't believe she is almost 1.5 years old! This means I'm now behind on both her Happy 16 and 17 Month posts. Oops!
Our day today consisted of mostly hanging out and relaxing besides the couple hours that we were gone right in the middle of the day. I couldn't help but snap these!
Oh she's just pimpin in her robe
She's obsessed with drawing!
Found her perfectly content on the couch
with a plastic bag and a shoe.
I had one more photo but for some reason it won't show up so I'll just have to post it next week! Now I'm off to bed!

Roweyn's Ramblings Wk.15
I had another short week of work which meant another 3 days off in a row and no work again on Saturday. It was nice to have the time off but I'm ready to be back! I haven't made much money lately and am trying to make some decisions about what I should do to change that.
It worked out for this week though since we were getting ready for the garage sale and there was so much preparing to do! It's all over with now though, thank God! I never knew having a garage sale could make me so sore! It was so weird, I woke up in the middle of the night and almost started crying while half asleep, I was in so much pain and felt sore EVERYWHERE, it was the weirdest feeling. My whole body was just throbbing, it was like I had been doing some sort of extreme sport all day. haha I am SO exhausted from the lack of sleep and all the work that goes into it, but the reward for getting so much sold is SO SO SO worth it! I made over $300 selling baby items, baby clothes, a couple brand new cloth diapers, some old books, knick knacks, and some of my old clothes. It was great to sell so much but I surprisingly still have more stuff to get rid of!
We spent 3 full days outside which Roweyn isn't used to but ended up loving. I think she would live out there if she could! It's SO difficult to set up for a garage sale when you have a toddler wandering around, following the cats and dogs, getting into stuff, and wanting to be fed or picked up though. I tried to keep her in her "gated community", her big gate that turns into a hexagon, but she's not used to being stuck in a little area, so it didn't work too well. So we made do with having to watch her and Tayelor helped out a lot.
This week Roweyn learned how to say "No". She has been shaking her head "No" for a couple weeks now but now she is combining the word with it. And so far she is doing really well putting it into context. If I ask her if she is still hungry and she's not, she will say "No" or if she wants her diaper changed and again it's "No". haha She does say "Yeah" as well and does really well with answering our questions too.
She has been doing really well with her naps, a few of them this week she slept for 2.5 hours and I think her nap today might have been even longer. Night time though she has had a couple difficult nights. All her "eye" teeth are trying to cut through her gums which I am sure are playing a part in it. They have been messing with her for weeks and I'm really hoping they cut through soon! They will be the last teeth she gets before her 2 year old molars.
And now we are off to bed to hopefully get a good nights rest, but of course not before our photos from this week!
